Emerald Urethane

This is a water based product that performs like an oil based product. This is my personal favorite when painting kitchen cabinets . This product is also perfect for trim, doors, and any wood work ."

Give cabinets, doors and trim a smooth, luxurious finish with Emerald® Urethane Trim Enamel. This water-based enamel resists yellowing compared to traditional oil based coatings and creates a hard durable finish that withstands the wear and tear of frequently cleaned and used areas. Emerald® Urethane Trim Enamel also goes on in fewer coats and can be used for interior and exterior projects alike." You can purchase this item at any Sherwin Williams Paint Store or online .I feel this is #1 of the 3 Best Paints for Kitchen Cabinets

Behr Urethane Alkyd Enamel

This is also a hybrid product . I believe Behr started with this formula as at one point in time Oil based products was hard to come by . I've used this product quite a few times as well . What I like about it is when painting kitchen cabinets it has great flow rather you brush it own or spray it . The only drawback i feel this product has is that it is quite soupy sometimes . After applying you have to double check to make sure there aren't any drips or sagging . Its readily available at all home depot stores and online

Sherwin Williams Pro Classic

Pro Classic comes in either water base or oil base paints. Before the emerald line came out for kitchen cabinets, trim, and wood work this was the go to product . I like this product all around. Good coverage and hide and dries to a durable finish . What i like most about this paint is the water base product is ready to re-coat within 3-4 hours .
